New 'super-Earth' discovered

Astronomers from the Carnegie Institution of Washington and the University of California, Santa Cruz, have announced yet another planet that may theoretically be fit for life. It's called GJ667Cc.

Its mass is 4.5 times that of the Earth, but that's still small in the grand scheme of things - planets found outside our solar system are typically larger. In fact, scientists say, it could be made from rock instead of gas.

Not only is the speed of light possible, they have the ships! Ah, but there's a problem... they're not smart enough to know how to preserve a human body to survive the trip. They've only had the extraterrestrials subjects that came here to work on.

If any of them had a bean of sense they'd know to combine human and mostly extraterrestrial DNA to create pilots to send along with a live frozen "human" guinea pig and body parts for observation and testing.

But, there also must be a robot among the crew. Because any living thing they send probably won't make the trip!

Stanton, do you think they would invest money and man-hours looking for habitable planets light years away if they couldn't get there???? Our government may be conniving and never truly forthright but they aren't that stupid.

I STILL SAY THAT THE SPEED OF LIGHT AND FASTER IS POSSIBLE WE JUST HAVE TO FIND OUT HOW!!!! IF SOMEONE CAN DREAM IT UP THEN IT'S POSSIBLE WE JUST DON'T HAVE THE MEANS.

We can't live with each other on this planet, how could NASA expect us to live on another planet that is possibly inhabited?

I wonder if the beings on other planets are posting similar articles. New 'smaller -- ' found outside of our solar system. Or maybe they are us. Our past is shrouded in mystery and long lost in the ages.

Satellites, you're an idiot. Nobody is moving planets around. It greatly advances our understanding of who we are and how we came to be when we can observe it happening somewhere else. Everything we know is based on observation. By the way, I think your caps lock may be on.

THERES NO MONEY FOR RESEARCH! WE HAVE HAD TECHNOLOGY FOR SOME TIME NOW !WERE MOVING PLANETS AROUND AS WE SEE FIT! WHAT DO THE SCIENTIST REALLY KNOW? IS THIS AN EXPERIMENT, BEING DEVELOPED TO USE HUMANS TO ANSWER MANS UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ,REGUARDING LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS !BECAUSE WE ARENT TAKING CARE OF THIS ONE? BECAUSE GREEDS MORE IMPORTANT!
