Every Friday, @CNNLightYears will suggest interesting and exciting space and science Twitter accounts to follow.

Today, @CNNLightYears is giving a #FollowFriday to Twitter accounts you can follow if you are interested in becoming an astronaut, or if you want to keep up with the next class of astronauts. Earlier this week, @CNNLightYears wrote that NASA will open up the astronaut candidate selection process in November of this year.

@NASA_Astronauts is the official Twitter feed where you can read tweets from astronauts and stay updated on their activity. Follow @NASA_Astronauts if you want to see what is going on at International Space Station (ISS), as well as follow tweets and photos from astronauts in space. Also, look for announcements on the next class of astronauts in the coming months.

NASA's Johnson Space Center, located in Houston, TX, is the lead for the ISS, as well as the home of Mission Control Center and NASA astronaut corps, according to its Twitter bio. Selected astronaut applicants are designated Astronaut Candidates and are assigned to the Astronaut Office @NASA_Johnson for two years, the Astronaut Selection and Training Manual says. Follow @NASA_Johnson for tweets about astronauts and updates on missions, exercises, and training.

You can also follow Twitter updates from @CNNLightYears.
